Have you or your group been involved in your local council's engagement process under the Sustainable Communities Act during 2008-2009? Councils that submitted proposals to the government under the Act were required to first ‘try to reach agreement’ with their communities on what those proposals would be. Many councils set up citizens panels to do this.
